Since 2014, the Machiavelli Foundation has a new tradition: kicking-off a new parliamentary year. This preview will take place on the first meeting day of the Parliament.
This year, group chairmen Sybrand Buma (CDA) and Jesse Klaver (GroenLinks) took part in the meeting in Nieuwspoort. They shared their expectations for the new parliamentary year. They spoke about their influence on the government, plans and expectations. Buma and Klaver also talked about how the European Union and the Netherlands deal with the flow of refugees coming to Europe from various conflict areas in the world.
