The Machiavelli Foundation traditionally organized the kick-off of the parliamentary season, by inviting two chairmen of political factions on the first day of parliament. Fraction chairmen Sybrand van Haersma Buma (CDA) and Lilian Marjinissen (SP) elaborated on their primary political themes for this year, and how they see their own roles in these subjects. The event was moderated by reporters Carla Joosten (Elsevier Weekblad), and Martin Sommer (Volkskrant).
